Players are asked to note that the team has commenced pre-season training at Seven Acres on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 5.45p.m.Additional sessions are also planned for Sunday afternoons at 1.00p.m. There are still a few memberships available for boys born 1989.Those interested in joining this team should phone coach Garry Green on 01738 444746

Players are asked to note the change for Sunday when the coaching session will take place at Goodlyburn School commencing at 12.15p.m. Garry is trying to arrange a practice session for Tuesday evening. Unless otherwise advised players to report to Seven Acres at 5.45p.m

01 August 2003
On Sunday the team have arranged a friendly game in Dundee when they take on formidable opponents in Fairmuir. Players to meet at Seven Acres at 12.30p.m. Players are reminded that their Hot Shot Soccer skills will take place on Wednesday evening commencing at 5.45p.m. This will be followed by their normal coaching session

08 August 2003
Last Sunday in the friendly against strong going Fairmuir the lads received a strong message in that no matter how good the outfield play it is goals that count. A game against fellow club mates is planned for this weekend but details are not yet finalised so Garry will advise. On Thursday a further friendly has been accepted and the team travel to Montrose. Due to the distance players should meet Seven acres at 5.00p.m. The club would greatly appreciate assistance from parents and supporters for assistance with travel to this match

15 August 2003
Last Sunday the team saw off the challenge of their clubmates in the U14 tangerine team with a comprehensive win. Last night they were due to complete the new season’s preparations with a friendly at Montrose. This Sunday the team welcome Strathearn Grove from Crieff to Seven Acres. This game is scheduled to kick off at 2.30p.m. but there are some doubts if the opposition will be able to travel. This is followed on Thursday evening when they travel to Guildtown on league business. Players meet at clubhouse at 5.15p.m.

22 August 2003
The fixture arranged for last week was postponed and the lads had to wait until last night to get this season’s programme under way. On Sunday they have a home League Cup game against Scone Thistle. Final arrangements are still not completed so Garry will contact or phone 01738 444746. Next Thursday evening the team travel to Alyth to play the local boys club

29 August 2003
Last week the team started their league cup campaign with a comprehensive victory over Guildtown at Seven Acres by 7 goals to 2.D O’Brien (4), J Colquhoun and S Reid (2) were the scorers. Last Sunday they continued in the same vein with an 8 goal win over Scone Thistle.J Colquhoun (3) W Boag (pen); D O’Brien, S Reid, M Burdge and G Cargill had their names on the score sheet. This week Athletico Blair visit Seven Acres. Final timings are not to hand but Garry should have advised at last night’s game. If in doubt phone 07764827830

Last Thursday the Tangerines came back from Alyth with a fine 8-2 victory. The winning streak was checked on Sunday when they had to settle for a 3-3 draw with Athletico Blair in a fine match at Seven Acres. It was hoped to play off the outstanding fixture with Strathearn last night and on Sunday the team entertain Gannochy B.C. Players to meet Newhouse Road at 1.15p.m.

12 September 2003
What a great advert for youth football when the team and Gannochy met at Seven Acres last Sunday. The homesters took an early three goal lead but were unable to maintain the initiative. In the end Gannochy squeezed home by the odd goal in eleven. This Sunday brings Dundee West B.C. to Perth in the Scottish

19 September 2003
In the Scottish Cup last week, Dundee West were too good and ran out comfortable winners. This week Alyth B.C. visit Seven Acres for the first time in a League Cup fixture. Players meet Newhouse Road at 1.15p.m.

26 September 2003
On the return league cup fixture against Alyth the home team cruised past the opposition. This Sunday, the team travel to play Scone. Players meet Newhouse Road at 11.30a.m. Assistance with transport would be greatly appreciated.

03 October 2003
Last week’s fixture against Scone was transferred to Seven Acres and the home team just scraped through in an exciting game where fortunes ebbed and flowed. This week the team play Athletico Blair at Blairgowrie. Players meet Seven Acres at 1.00p.m. The club would appreciate assistance with transport from parents and supporters.

10 October 2003
Not a good weekend for the team when they were defeated 6-1 on Sunday by Athletico Blair at Blairgowrie. There is no fixture this weekend and Garry is hoping that this break will allow some of the walking wounded to recover in time for their next game.

17 October 2003
Following last week’s break, the team are looking forward to the return league cup fixture against Gannochy. Players meet Seven Acres at 11.00 to change. Indoor coaching commences next week on Tuesdays at Goodlyburn and at Perth High School on Friday’s at 6.00p.m.

24 October 2003
The team got revenge over Gannochy last week with a hard fought victory. As at Seven Acres the Tangerines took a three-goal lead only for the home team to stage a recovery. Goals by Steven Reid (2), Scott Melrose and Jaimie Colquhoun were enough to see them secure all the points. On Sunday the team travel to Blairgowrie to face the strong going Athletico. Players meet Seven Acres at 10.45a.m. Assistance from parents and supporters with regard to transport would be appreciated. Reminder that indoor training is on Tuesday and Friday evenings.

07 November 2003
The team want to forget their performance at Kinross last week. This week they again travel to meet Kinnoull BC in the quarter final of the League Cup. Players meet Seven Acres at 11.15a.m. Players are reminded that there is an indoor coaching session to-night at 5.00p.m.

14 November 2003
The team played well last week at Kinnoull and fully deserved their win. Jaimie Colquhoun (2) and Robbie Green (2) secured the points for the Tangerines. This week Alyth Boys travel to meet the home team at Seven Acres. Players to meet at 1.30p.m.

21 November 2003
The team had a hard fought game last week at home to Alyth coming out on top by 6 goals to 3.This week Kinnoull B.C. are the visitors and players should meet at Seven Acres at 1.15p.m.

28 November 2003
Garry and his team were left wondering what went wrong against Kinnoull B.C. last week considering it is only two weeks since the tangerines gained a result against their opponents. This week the team are preparing for their league cup semi-final against Gannochy. Players meet Seven Acres at noon. Assistance with transport would be greatly appreciated. The team also thank everyone who attended the bingo tea on Wednesday evening and to all businesses who donated prizes

05 December 2003
The lads were bitterly disappointed to lose out by 4 goals to 2 against Gannochy in the League Cup Semi Final last Sunday on the North Inch. This week they will have to be on their best form when Breadalbane are the visitors. Players meet Seven Acres at 1.00p.m. Coaching as usual on Tuesday evening at Goodlyburn School and tonight at Perth Academy.

12 December 2003
The team put their disappointment of the previous week behind them with a fine 1-0 win over Breadalbane. Mathew Burdge scoring. This Sunday is an away fixture at Crieff against Strathearn Grove. Match arrangements will be advised at the coaching session tonight.

19 December 2003
The lads were disappointed that the fixture against Strathearn Grove was cancelled at the last moment. On Sunday they play Gannochy in an away first round local cup. Players meet Seven Acres at 11.00 a.m.

26 December 2003
The team travelled to play Gannochy last Sunday in the first round of a local cup. Despite have much of the play, more chances and a missed penalty they could not transfer this advantage into goals and finally went down by five goals to three. Garry is holding a special coaching session this Sunday at 1.00p.m. at Seven Acres.

02 January 2004
Due to last week’s success there will be a further outdoor session this Sunday at Seven Acres commencing at 1.00p.m.

09 January 2004
The team will be hoping to turn the tables on Gannochy following their recent defeat in the cup. Due to overcrowding it is likely that this game will be played at Ruthvenfield. Players however meet Seven Acres at 10.45a.m or 11.00a.m. at the venue.

16 January 2004
Due to a waterlogged pitch the game last Sunday was postponed. This week requires a visit to Alyth on league business and players should meet Seven Acres at 10.30 a.m.

23 January 2004
Travelled to Alyth last week.and romped to an eleven goals to one victory. This week Gannochy are the visitors and players meet Newhouse Road at 12.45 or 1.00 at Ruthvenfield

The Tangerines got revenge over Gannochy in an exciting league encounter last week when they defeated the visitors by 3-2 with Dean O’Brien scoring all of Letham’s goals. This Sunday Guildtown are the visitors. Players meet Ruthvenfield at 11.00a.m.

06 February 2004
Guildtown are the visitors this week to Ruthvenfield for a home league game. Players meet Seven Acres at 10.45 or 11.00a.m. at the ground.

13 February 2004
The team take the road to Aberfeldy on Sunday to play Breadalbane. Garry will advise regarding arrangements. Coaching continues tonight 5.00pm at the Academy.

20 February 2004
Disappointing result last Sunday at Breadalbane when cruising at 3-0 up they lost two players, which resulted in the team losing heart and finally went down by 6-4.This Sunday the team play Scone Thistle at Scone in a league encounter. Players meet Seven Acres at 10.45a.m.

27 February 2004
Last week the team travelled to Scone to play the local Thistle. This turned out to be a ding-dong affair with the lead changing constantly. The game was finally decided in the last minute when Letham were awarded a penalty kick, which resulted in the Tangerines winning 6-5. This week the team play Kinnoull in an away fixture. Players meet Seven Acres at 10.45a.m.

05 March 2004
A magnificent strike in the last minute by Robbie Green secured a well-deserved draw in a six-goal thriller with Kinnoull last Sunday. Other scorers were Dean O’Brien and an o.g. This Sunday the team are off to Crieff to play Strathearn Grove. Players meet Seven Acres at 10.15 a.m. or at Ruthvenfield at 10.30a.m.

The visit to Crieff last weekend resulted in a comfortable 6-0 win This week Kinross are the visitors. Players meet Seven Acres at 11.00 or Ruthvenfield at 11.15a.m.

19 March 2004
The Tangerines were shocked last week at home to Kinross when they went down by 3 goals to two. No excuses for the defeat as territorially they had the bulk of the possession but the failing of putting the ball in the net cost them dear. Due to the Cup Final at Crieff on Sunday the team has a free weekend.

25 March 2004
With no game last weekend the team are looking forward to their home game against Kinnoull, which will be played at Ruthvenfield. Final match details are not to hand but Garry will advise. He can be contacted on 01738 449275

No coaching tonight but this Friday will be the final session at Perth Academy at 6.00p.m.

With no official fixture last weekend, the lads are keen to get back into action this Sunday when they travel to play Gannochy in a league match. Players meet Seven Acres at 12.45 p.m but check with Garry. The final indoor coaching for the season takes place tonight at Perth Academy at 6.00p.m.

Last Sunday at Ruthvenfield the team played Athletico Blair. This Sunday sees another home tie when the team entertain Scone Thistle. Players to meet Huntingtower 10.45am.

The team have now completed their fixtures for this season.

The team has now completed it’s fixtures for the season. Many thanks to parents and friends who gave the team invaluable support and assistance, especially for transportation to away games. Will goalkeeper William please contact club president to collect his reward of a pair of new keeper gloves?

With all official games complete the players can now look forward to their presentation evening.

On Sunday at 3.00p.m. the team is holding it’s end of season presentations at Duffy’s, Bridgend. A welcome is extended to parents, family and supporters. The team also extend their appreciation for all the support received throughout the season.

28 May 2004
The boys held their end of season presentation last Sunday. There will now be a short break before coaching re-commences for the new season. Trials for boys born 1989 are imminent.

08 June 2004
The team will be holding trials on Sunday, 13th, June at Goodlyburn playing fields at 1.00p.m.. All boys born 1989 are invited to attend. Please ask for Garry Green or he can be contacted on 01738 449275

The team is now preparing for the coming season and is holding a special practice session at Goodlyburn P.S. on Sunday at 1.00p.m.
